Over Grassroots

With the Grassroots project, de Onkruidenier explores the relationship between a cultural institution and the social capital of the Spangen neighborhood. We zoom in on grasses that grow spontaneously, the stories they tell from their unique characteristics and zoom out again to learn to understand the neighborhood from different perspectives, both human and non-human. 

Grassroots is a project by artist collective the Onkruidenier in collaboration with A Tale of A Tub, which is located in the Justus van Effen complex in Spangen, Rotterdam. Grassroots is made possible by theVriendenLoterij Fonds.
